Rap
when i listen to music, i need two things. one:a cool guitar player. two:cool/meaningful lyrics. i could live without the guitar, but the lyrics are very important. the rap today is too much about unimportant and non meaningful bullshit. i could give a shit about 50 cent and him getting shot for dealing or buying drugs. not to sound like a typical white kid but i think eminems early work are the best songs since tu pac or biggie. he writes about how life in certain neighborhoods can fuck up a kids mind. he also talks about his f'ed up relationship with his mom. am i alone?comment and tell me whether or not you agree.

i most certainly agree! rap today is so pointless,man. rappers don't even make up the lyrics, they just sing the song and america thinks that the rapper made it - hense, that's why they get credit for it. we should try and listen hard to the lyrics to try and find what they really mean. the best example of this kind of music is basically classic rock of the 1960's and 70's.
